Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) announced the official approval and release of the national standard 'Wind Energy Generation Systems—Hydraulic Systems for Wind Turbines' (GB/T 45854—2025), led by Windey Energy Technology Group. The standard will come into effect on November 1, 2025. This standard represents a major technical specification in the field of key core components for wind turbines in China. It is of profound significance for enhancing the technological level of the wind power industry, ensuring the safe and stable operation of wind farms, and promoting high-quality development of the sector.
The hydraulic system of wind turbines, often referred to as the 'core actuator,' performs critical functions such as pitch control and braking. Its performance is directly tied to the operational safety and power generation efficiency of the entire turbine. With the rapid scaling and diversification of China's wind power industry, the lack of unified national standards has led to issues like inconsistent product quality and high collaboration costs, which are becoming increasingly prominent. This standard systematically establishes a comprehensive technical framework covering turbine design, hydraulic control, grid connection testing, and more, providing authoritative guidelines for the design, manufacturing, and inspection of hydraulic systems. Several key technical indicators in the standard, such as dynamic response time for hydraulic braking, anti-interference technology, and impact resistance, have reached internationally leading levels.
Following implementation, this standard is expected to reduce the failure rate of domestic wind turbine hydraulic systems by over 20% and decrease energy consumption by more than 10%, effectively driving the industry toward higher reliability and lower energy use. This will not only facilitate technological breakthroughs and energy savings in the wind power industry but also deliver significant economic and social benefits.
To date, Windey Energy Technology Group has led or participated in the formulation and revision of over 300 standards, 200 of which have been officially published, playing a crucial role in advancing wind power standardization in China. Moving forward, the company will continue to promote the dissemination, implementation, and application of national standards, actively participate in the development of more national and industry standards, and support global energy transformation with advanced technologies and products, contributing wisdom and strength to building a clean, safe, and efficient modern energy system in C
